Worth the dishwashing labor?
Sep 1st, 2006 by Peter
Is this just my wife, or are all women like this? Example.
Yesterday we ate:
Leftover rice (only needed reheating)
Steamed bread (only needed reheating)
Potato/cabbage thingy
The latter dishwashing came down to this:
6 chopsticks (we are 2 people)
1 Wooden spoon
1 normal spoon
1 teaspoon
2 eating bowls
1 small bowl
1 big double layered steaming pot
One big pan
1 small pot
1 knife
1 cutting board
1 potato skin peeler
Out of memory, but I am sure you could throw a few more things on that list.
How does this add up? Sure does beat me. Can someone fill me in?
No matter what I think my wife makes some excellent meals. She always politely says that she doesn’t, but she really does. She can produce great dishes from almost nothing (but apparently can’t produce meals without producing a huge wash).
On the other hand she feels free to scold me if I try to cook meals that looks and tastes Chinese. Apparantly I either: overcook, over salt or just don’t know what ingredients match, which is probably true anyway). On the other hand she likes my Danish stuff, which I am rarely allowed to do though.
Your kitchen are belong to us! (<-- If you don't get the joke first time - don't ask).
We can always count on women to work FOR the universal law on Entrophy….and behind her, a man trying – in his small visible world – to bring some order into chaos :)
