This is where I lost my huge respect for Mathew Perry (and Jennifer Aniston too I guess?).
Found it this evening, and I’m a bit shocked they sold out and I never heard about it. Especially since I always liked Matthew Perry, but always hated Windows 95. These two should not be put together, but they did.
“The taskbar keeps as many programs as you want!” – yeah right. Try opening 42 notepads and see the sucker stall.
lol~~~
maybe now,u can say u hate windows 95,but when it released,it’s a amazing breakthough for operating system.
“the taskbarkeeps as many programs as you want!” hmm, kinda exaggeration
Breakthrough?…. Nah not if you ask me or other oldschool nerds :-)
Everything “new” was stolen from Apple, Atari, Commodore/Amiga and whoever had a better OS. At that time I used an Amiga, and it was far better. In some regards what I had then, is still better in my opinion. At least MS made their OS stable at Win2000/XP. :-)
Actually this is what pissed me off in those days. MS took all the credit because they were bigger and had a huge advertising machine, while the smaller companies had to struggle even harder to keep up. Especially Apple must have felt screwed. They have always been visionaries, and MS still win the market share in the end. In the end MS had the inferior product, but the bigger wallet.
Let this be a lesson to you: never respect celebrities! They don’t live in the same world we do.
Amigas were great. Why can’t computers today have nice names like that?
You’re right Mersault, there are no more celebs worth being my inspiration. So now I’m back to being my own again. Pretty bad deal.
Yeah… ppftttt… “PC”, “Personal Computer”…blahhh.
Amiga (girlfriend in Spanish for those who don’t know) – now that seems so much more personal than that.
