Snow, snow & snow…
Feb 22nd, 2007 by Peter
Just like that, the winter finally showed its ugly face.
We had a mild January, and the first 3 weeks of February seemed to follow the trend. But now it seems to be over.
These are some pictures taken from around our home.
I have no intention of grabbing more and more saying pictures further from our home, as it is pretty stupid to be outside these days. Not just because it is almost impossible to walk because of the snow, but also because my finger still is vulnerable to cold. One tiny trip to the grocery store 100 m away set its mark on my healing finger.
The police recommend no driving as it is too dangerous. Also the busses have been cancelled today, and probably will tomorrow too. I’m talking the busses inside the city!
The freeways have been or still is blocked by snow and stranded vehicles. People have spent their nights at schools sleeping on madras’s since they can’t get to their homes.
Me? Well, I have vacation and haven’t planned much except a one day sightseeing which we managed to finish the day before the snowstorm. Fortunately the internet/tv channels and electricity are still reliable so at least we can watch some movies and play some games. Guess that I am a lucky bastard after all.
Look’s too f’ing cold to be outside, but nice pictures! Hope you heal up soon!
Tnx man.
There is a shitload of snow and it’s still coming down. The misses decided to clean some of the snow so we could leave without wet socks. She had to give up half way.
Meanwhile I kickbacked with my lousy finger in front of the computer. Shitty job, but someone have to do it :-)
I like snow so much,u know nowadays, there is less snow in winter, and more and more warm,I like the pure winter,if there is no snow in winter,it shouln’t be a pure winter.
I actually agree raymond. Unfortunately Denmark have been in a situation where we either had a tremendous loads of snow (too much) or nothing. I like the inbetween more. These grey days are pretty boring.
